8. The Commentary Could Do With A Refresh

Anybody growing up in the 1980's or 1990's will have an affinity towards Martin Tyler. For years, he was the voice of countless wonderful games on Sky Sports, and his rich tone has always been an asset to FIFA. Add in the chemistry he has with Alan Smith, and the pair provide the best commentary the series has ever seen.

Sadly, as much as the volume of dialogue has increased drastically over the years, there's still an awful lot of repetition. In the FIFA 17 demo, for example, hearing those same old passages over and over again about watching the game not being "too much of a challenge" does little to get the blood pumping.

Aside from a few topical references to recent history, there's little to distinguish the commentary in FIFA 17's demo to last year's game. Perhaps that's simply down to this being a bitesize chunk of what we can expect from the final product, but it's nonetheless true that narration in FIFA could be doing with a bit of an update.

Different commentators might be the way to go, as sad as it would be to see the back of Tyler.
