FIFA 18: 10 Fan Demands EA Sports Must Include
2. Gameplay That Relies Less On Scripting
Every FIFA devotee knows the drill: it's the last minute, you're 1-0 up at home to Stoke and under no pressure. Suddenly, Mark Hughes makes some sort of tactical switch that somehow baffles Jose Mourinho, and Marko Arnautović beats 8 of your players to slot home a screamer for the equaliser.
There was no stopping that one, and it's an altogether too familiar feeling. Cut down on this level of scripting, EA, because it doesn't happen during every single match. Sometimes teams are just crap and that's that.
Seeing less scripting to FIFA's action would be nice in 18. Those unstoppable goals that even the tightest of defences can't prevent shouldn't be popping up all over the place like it's 2012 and "Aguerroooooooo" has pounced on a hapless QPR backline to win the title.
Konami have the perfect balance in PES, so EA need to start taking notes on how it's done before FIFA becomes too much like a Hollywood script.
