Imagine sitting in the stands watching your favourite team attempt to inflict wave upon wave of successful, goal-scoring attacks on the opposition. Picture yourself leaping up amidst passionate crowds of like-minded supporters who turn and revel with you mid-match.

This is all possible if EA Sports incorporate Sony's new PlayStation VR Technology into FIFA 18.

VR has been labelled an overpriced gimmick by critics, but it could add a fresh dimension to the FIFA experience. A new camera angle allowing players to sit in the stands of their chosen ground wouldn't be too hard to implement, and it could add to the overall immersion EA have always strived for.

Gimmick or not, including some sort of VR compatibility in 18 is logical. Just don't expect to be playing first-person, because that seems a tad far-fetched. An in-crowd camera angle though? Totally achievable in this year's game.
