FIFA 18: 7 New Additions You Need To Know
7. FUT Legends Have Been Replaced By Icons
Everybody has that mate who bangs on about Ultimate Team like it's the greatest thing ever. This can be grating when you want to do nothing more than settle into that single-player Career Mode or play offline with real-life friends. In FIFA 18, that pal is about to experience some FUT changes, especially if they have a PS4.
Gone are the Legends who graced screens in prior titles. The Icons who were previously exclusive to Xbox users are now available across all formats, giving a different dynamic to those Ultimate Team sessions. Best of all, Ronaldo (no, not CR7, the older one who once had a questionable haircut at France '98) is getting in on the action.
Described by EA as the "Best Of The Best", these Icons will outright replace Legends. This basically boils down to Microsoft's deal with EA running out, but it's a new direction for the entire FIFA suite and great for those who seek more nostalgia than ever before.
Playing Ronaldo and Ronaldo up front together is now totally possible.
