FIFA 18: 7 New Additions You Need To Know
1. Dynamic Weather Is Coming
Last year's game did feature weather effects like rain showers and flurries of snow, but these effects were limited. This is why dynamic weather could change the way matches play out, and ever-changing conditions are already something EA have experience with.
EA DICE's Patrick Back explained to Metro last year that shifting weather patterns really helped the Battlefield games come alive. They could do the exact same for football, instantly meaning your short passing tactics have less merit when the rain starts pouring, leaving the pitch muddy in the middle. Then, it'll be time to lump the ball long.
It may be superficial, yet dynamic weather would be one of FIFA 18's greatest inclusions. Every football fan has watched as weather shifts and changes match outcomes, so it's enticing to imagine what's possible here.
Suddenly, CR7 could find himself struggling to beat defenders for pace when it feels like he's running on sand.
