FIFA 18: Ranking Every Major New Feature (From Worst To Best)

2. In-Stadia Atmosphere

Even in FIFA 17, playing as teams around the globe who didn't have their real-life stadium included meant that polite, English-speaking announcer would pop up every now and then. This was true even if you happened to be in countries like Saudi-Arabia; it was really quite odd to hear some chap from Peckham ask if someone could speak to the nearest steward about where their car was parked.

That has thankfully been changed in FIFA 18. Now, playing in different leagues across the globe feels much more authentic. Play in Spain and you're likely to hear loud whistling when the opposition have the ball, and there's a carnival atmosphere to matches in Brazil. These contrast nicely with the humour-filled chanting of English footy fans taunting a rival team.

Seeing fans rush towards a goal scorer in all-standing areas of some stadiums is also a particularly nice touch that helps bring the game to life. In-stadia atmosphere has been improved, EA weren't lying about that. Just two (minor) complaints though. Why is everyone still so good looking, and why are Gillingham selling as many replica tops as Man Utd?
