Another impressive season playing for Bayern Munich has seen German full-back David Alaba retain his 86 rating in FIFA 18, which shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to anyone who follows the Bundesliga. He's quick, good on the ball and defensively sound - in other words, everything you'd expect from a Bayern full-back.

6. Petr Cech - Arsenal - 86

FIFA 17 Rating: 88

He might be asked to do a lot more this season than he has in past years, but Petr Cech remains a commanding 'keeper even at 35 and he will save Arsene Wenger multiple points. He's been downgraded two points this year, but that was somewhat inevitable given Arsenal's league struggles last year and his advancing years.

He's still going to be one of the best in the game though.

5. Javi Martinez - Bayern Munich - 86

FIFA 17 Rating: 85

Having moved to Germany from Bilbao back in 2012, Javi Martinez has emerged as one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga, much to Bayern Munich's benefit, and he's rightly highly rated in FIFA 18. He's also been boosted up to his top FIFA 17 potential rating and boasts an impressive 86 overall for Defending.
