FIFA 19: 10 Expert Tips To Play Like A Boss

4. Take Advantage Of Tiring AI

Unlike the crossing differences, this is something FIFA 19 and PES 2019 have in common. In both games, there's a newfound emphasis on players growing tired as matches rage on. This realistic stamina system is nice to see, and it also gives you something else to think about when games start hitting the 65-70 minute mark.

EA's swish tactical overhaul is your friend here. Use it to take advantage of tiring AI teams (especially in midfield engine rooms, which seem to be the place where stamina bars sap quickest) and set your side up pre-match with that exhaustion-to-come in mind.

It's now possible to change your team's shape and tactics for 'Ultra Defensive', 'Defensive', 'Balanced', 'Attacking' and 'All Out Attacking'. Keep 'Balanced' the same, but think about tampering with 'Ultra Defensive' and 'Attacking'; the more extreme 'All Out Attacking' should only be used when you're in a pinch or need a last-minute goal.

When the CPU starts to tire late on, switch to a more attacking formation and you may find more success. It doesn't work every time, obviously, so don't be too gung-ho.
