FIFA 19: 10 Improvements We Want To See In Career Mode

3. Make International Management Mean Something

In FIFA 19, EA should include the option to ditch club management entirely and focus all your attentions on taking an international side to World Cup glory.

Managing a country side-by-side to a club is a torturous mix of games that mean everything and matches that border on pointless. International friendlies, for example, add nothing to the experience, and there's no reward for playing through them. EA haven't even added any cut and thrust between club and country.

Club bosses don't sit back idly and watch international coaches knacker their players in meaningless friendlies against Costa Rica when there's a big league fixture or cup match coming up a few days later. When playing as an international gaffer then, it should be possible to interact with clubs and decide what's best for everyone concerned.

International management means little in FIFA 18. By the time 19 is released, football will be coming off the back of Russia 2018, so there's likely to be a bit more interest in internationals. Take advantage of that and develop an under-performing feature at the same time, EA.
