2. Removing "Park The Bus"

Though they're savvy at defending and know how to hold onto a lead, top teams like Real Madrid, Man City and PSG rarely (if ever) "Park The Bus". That kind of approach is a relic of English league football, and it's one that only really exists when lower-tier sides visit the very best on cup duty.

Seeing Bradford camp everyone behind the ball to defend a 1-0 lead at the Etihad is believable. Seeing Bayern Munich do the same is not.

That's why it's great to hear that EA have removed "Park The Bus" entirely from FIFA 19's lexicon. You'll still be able to defend staunchly, of course, but there will be less of a cut and dried feel to those tactics. That's yet another sign that FIFA's gameplay is coming out of the tactical dark ages and chipping away the remaining arcade tropes of yesteryear.

This is great for Ultimate Team too. Dull online players won't have the chance to turn Sergio Ramos and pals into League Two's finest. Defending a lead will become more about playing to your team's strengths than using an archaic preset.
