FIFA 19: 10 New Features That Fix Annoying Problems
6. New Goal Kick Camera Angle
Speaking of which, the new camera angle mechanic EA are touting should help with that.
There are few things worse in FIFA than trying to play short from a goal kick only to see the opposition race in, send your defender tumbling and slot the ball neatly into the top bag without your goalie even reacting. It's frustrating, and it's a thing of the past if EA's new camera system works.
In 19, the camera won't swing around recklessly to give the direction of a goalkeeper's pass away. This will be most useful when playing other people, as human players will be in the dark on your plans before they happen. EA deserve credit for actively working to ease gamer concerns from last year.
The new angle is made possible by using a similar mechanic to the penalty and free kick run up. Last year, being able to approach the ball from different angles opened up dead ball situations to greater player creativity. This should do the same for goal kicks.
