Playing as footballing heroes like Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldo (the "other one") and Marco van Basten was a joy in FIFA 18's Ultimate Team mode. The wealth of Icons EA managed to include made the feature more enjoyable for older footy fans, and it helped introduce a younger audience the game's greats.

Now, according to the Dutch maestro's official Instagram account, ex-Ajax and Barcelona attacker Johan Cruyff could be next in FIFA 19.

The account's handlers posted three different pictures of Cruyff either posing with or in front of FUT stat cards, and they asked fans to comment on what the Dutchman's overall rating should be. Does that mean he'll be revealed as one of 19's main Icons? There's every chance.

Other mock Icon cards have popped up online too. Former Liverpool legend and current Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is one of the names atop many wish lists to be included, so maybe he'll join fellow ex-England internationals like Alan Shearer, Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand from last year's game.
