FIFA 20: 10 Improvements We Want To See In Career Mode

7. Proper Simulation

The scoreline above is actually a respectable one for Arsenal. Losing 2-1 away to Barca in the Champions League last 16 isn't bad, and there's a chance the 'Gunners' could claw things back in the second leg. Better play that one, because simming it is dicing with death.

That's especially true if your team happens to be playing away from home.

Sim mode in FIFA 19 boils down to watching helplessly as minutes tick on, players are invariably hospitalised and that star striker can't hit the proverbial barn door despite scoring for fun previously. Meanwhile, opposition teams seemed to get a much-needed home boost. Logical, sometimes, but dear Pep is that away day glitch that makes your star-studded lineup suddenly play like Bradford annoying.

In 20, we demand more control over simmed matches. Being able to jump in and play at any point (like in Madden) would be great, and so would actually being able to tweak tactics as the match was in progress. The fact we still can't do any of that in 2019 is infuriating.
