Regardless of how pretty fancy skills and silky ball control may look, sometimes you really cannot beat an absolute brute dominating everything in his path. One prime example of this is former Netherlands stopper Jaap Stam.

In a sport so often filled with pretend hardmen and wannabe tough guys, Stam made no qualms that he was going to hurt you if necessary. Win the ball, yes, but hurt you in the process, nonetheless.

At a solid and strong 6’3”, Stam was a centre-half who would dominate an opponent both in the air and on the ground. In terms of current icons available in Ultimate Team, think of Stam like a nastier Marcel Desailly – and we all know how great Desailly is on FIFA.

Throughout his 16-year career, Stam won a slew of silverware at PSV, Manchester United, Lazio, Milan, and Ajax, and his addition to FIFA Ultimate Team would surely see gamers adding to their own personal trophy collections. Not to mention, you'd likely amass a few extra yellow and red cards along the way.
