FIFA 20: 6 Rumours You Need To Know

6. Volta & Other 'New Modes' Won't Be On Nintendo Switch?

EA once described the 'Legacy' versions of FIFA released on last-gen hardware like PS3 and Xbox 360 as this: they'd "continue to provide the same great gameplay, game modes, and game features you've come to expect with unmatched authenticity, leagues, licenses and with updated team kits and rosters, all at a great value".

This was a padded way of saying 'Legacy' wouldn't come with any of the new features current-gen releases had. Now, it seems, Nintendo's Switch has replaced PS3 and Xbox 360 as the "lucky" console to get that watered-down FIFA experience every year. FIFA 20 executive producer Aaron McHardy told Eurogamer that Volta footy won't be on Switch.

Many on social media are guessing after reading this that any other new modes and mechanics 20 introduces won't be on Switch either. If this proves to be true, then it's a big disappointment to anyone who exclusively owns Nintendo's hardware. Why should they be punished for their console of choice and have to suffer an old-hat version of FIFA?

FIFA 20 on Switch already looks like one to avoid.
