FIFA 20 Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

10. The Overall Look (Up)

FIFA 20
EA Sports

Bare minimum really for a video game in 2019 to look visually stunning, but so much of FIFA's appeal is in the presentation that it's worth scrutinising all the same. Thankfully, they've massively delivered again, and the results are great.

Given the PR disaster of losing Juventus (and I mean, how do you lose one of the biggest football clubs in the entire world, they're not a set of car keys) the headlines now will likely be far more positive. Whatever the league, whatever the team, whatever the weather, the game looks every inch the professional presentation you're expecting.

Clothing seems to hang more naturally this year and there's a lot of extra effort been put into the camera transitions and variation of angles, which adds to the authentic viewing experience. In one incredibly nice touch, the crowd now seem to react to the ball being punted into the first couple of rows.
