Rene Higuita may not have been the greatest goalkeeper to ever put on a pair of gloves. Hell, many would argue that Higuita wasn't even the greatest Colombian goalkeeper in the history of the game.

Playing all but one of his 24 years as a professional in various leagues across South America, Higuita is most fondly remembered for his time on the Colombian national team appearing in the 1990 World Cup. Higuita also later famously performed the scorpion kick save against England, rotating in mind air to save a Jamie Redknapp shot with his feet.

Quite aptly nicknamed El Loco, Higuita pioneered a style of goalkeeping so mad that it is only seen these days when your mate playing between the sticks on Pro Clubs gets bored and decides to go rogue.

However, despite his eccentricity, Higuita was a great shot-stopper in his day, and his lethal set-piece skills would make him perfect for online play if you really wanted to take the p*ss out of your opponent.
