FIFA 21: 8 Reasons To Give Career Mode A Chance

7. Loan-To-Buy

Players have moaned for a good decade that EA wouldn't include some logical 'loan-to-buy' options in Career Mode. The old way of doing things had folks trying out a player on loan. Then, if you liked him and wanted to sign, you'd have to wait on the loan period to end and bid again.

Sometimes, nonsensically, the game would actually prevent you from doing so because the player had "just joined this club". It was bonkers, and it didn't reflect real-life football at all. In FIFA 21 though, you now have the chance to put together more elaborate loans and settle a future fee whilst the player is still on loan.

That avoids the senseless 'dead' period once a loan expires.

It's a welcome addition, one that works both ways. If you want a duff player off your books in the short-term and know you'll need some extra cash for the next transfer window, then consider a loan-to-buy scheme with potential suitors who come knocking.
