FIFA 21 Review: 6 Ups & 7 Downs

5. Customising Your FUT Stadium Is Fun

It's not all doom, gloom and microtransactions in FUT. The ability to customise your own stadium for use in the mode is an idea that has legs, and it'd be great to see EA bring this over into other modes eventually. Yes, there are still those clamouring for 'Create A Stadium' in Career Mode.

For now, being able to decide how your home games should look is a hidden thrill. It nearly makes Ultimate Team worth exploring for those who traditionally hate it, and that's something EA should be proud of. One can spend serious time mucking around with all the available options and upgrades.

If EA enhance this, then they'll be onto something special. Putting statues at pitch side, altering how crowds act, splashing colour around the place and even deciding which banners your fans hold up can be an absolute gas.

It's the kind of customisation FIFA needs more of.
