4. More Focus On Career Mode

Like Pro Clubs, Career Mode has suffered at the expense of energy being put into Ultimate Team as EA Sports, like many other games, focus on multiplayer online modes that have money making potential.

Career Modes have been a core part of sports and football games for decades, with the ability to play through a season as your favourite team one of the best experiences for new and younger fans. However, this is no longer the case and fans of Career Mode in FIFA don't have a lot to look forward to year on year.

Most changes from one version to the next are small, slight additions to elements such as the transfer market or the development of your players, but it none have really changed Career Mode. FIFA 22 saw the addition of skill trees, manager objectives and perks, but for players looking to spend the majority of the time in this mode it was nowhere near enough.

If EA Sports put more time into Career Mode it could be so successful the possibilities are endless. In FIFA 22, the ability to make your own club was introduced but it didn't go far enough with options such as customisation and this needs to be built on in their next instalment.
