FIFA 23: 10 Big Changes EA Sports Need To Revitalise The Franchise

While it is the way the gaming world is going, more than most FIFA remains a pay-to-win game. In in this day and age, that should not be the case for a video game.

To be able to get the most out of Ultimate Team, you need to be constantly playing and earning coins or you will be left behind. Playing 30 games in each of Rivals, Weekend League and Squad Battles will give you three chances at picking up good rewards to add to your squad, but it is a huge number of games to play.

The only option to get the best players is to buy packs with real money. Even then there is no guarantee you will get the stars you want, leading to players spending absurd amounts of money to get that top team they crave.

For professional players and streamers this is an option, but for anyone else, it isn't realistic. Who comes out on top on the field should not be determined by who has spent the most real money. However, as much as changes to the microtransactions are needed, it is hard to see them happening while EA Sports continues to profit so much.
