FIFA World Cup 2014: 10 Things It Does Better Than FIFA 14
8. Realistic Fans
The fans in FIFA have often made us wonder if they actually care about football at all, as it would take a hell of a lot to make them noticeable. Now though, you can't ignore them. They're everywhere and can be seen before, during and after a game - not unlike football in the real world. Score a goal and there's a chance the camera will swing to a fan park to show the responses of the supporters there, or pan to your standard crazy, overdressed, over-patriotic fan that signifies everything the World Cup is about. The game has captured it perfectly and it finally feels like you're in control of a nations hopes and dreams. The World Cup atmosphere is ever present in the game, which is exactly what you want in the game. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of scandalously dressed female fans, which optimise the World Cup and make it a real treat (cameramen apparently live for Brazil vs. Sweden) - but we'll forgive EA for that absence.
