Final Fantasy 7 Remake: 10 Bosses We Can't Wait To See

9. Carry Armour

Encountered in the underwater reactor, Carry Armour was a large - although somewhat goofy-looking - boss.

Known for a unique set of mechanics that allowed it to incapacitate up to two characters by lifting them up out of the battle, it would then win if it killed the 3rd character.

This battle came into its own during challenge runs as advanced players would take it on with limited party members and/or abilities. In particular the ability to grab a character and immediately stop them ruined many solo character runs.

In Remake, with a new dynamic battle system it will be interesting to see how the mechanics of Carry Armour carry over into battle. Will the dodge ability allow our heroes to evade Carry Armour’s attempt to pick them up? Can characters be swapped in to take the place of captured allies?

Doubtless, it won’t take long before challenge runs are set for the Remake, and many will be curious to see if Carry Armour remains the same thorn in the side of players as in the original.
