Final Fantasy 7 Remake: 10 Bosses We Can't Wait To See
6. Demon Gate
A recurring boss throughout the Final Fantasy series.
It’s trademark, established in Final Fantasy 4 is so steadily advance on the party, forcing them to defeat it in limited time or be crushed causing instant death!
The functional graphics of the SNES could only portray this so well, but in Final Fantasy 12 you fought Demon Gate twice, trapped in a tight corridor with no way to escape or advance without defeating them first. Additional mechanics were added allowing the party to slow down this boss.
Final Fantasy 7’s Demon Gate didn’t have the same mechanics as its cousins from other series and instead stayed rooted to the wall of the Temple of the Ancients.
It was the toughest boss you’d encountered at this point, that may not have advanced on the party relentlessly, but was relentless with its attacks.
It would be great to see the toughness of FF7s Demon Gate combined with the traditional limited time battles of the other Demon Gates, and finally see Cloud and co. fending off the ongoing attacks of this fearsome enemy, whilst slowly being backed into a corner.
It’s sure to be one of the most intense battles of the game.
