Final Fantasy 7 Remake: 14 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
6. You Can Lock On While In Slow Motion To Focus Group Attacks
FF7R's lock-on is something you'll want to feather, almost like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter.
Surrounded by enemies? It's better to leave it off, let the camera go wider and manage their exact position, attacking in multiple directions with the left stick.
A nifty trick though, is locking on WHILE combat is paused.
Wait until multiple party members have ATB built up, then pause, lock on and start queuing up their attacks. Even if you lock on while something's being charged, every spell will be redirected to what you're focusing on.
Use these two mentalities to deal with groups, then freeze time, tell the gang who their main target should be and you can obliterate a specific enemy in no time.
