4. Some Notes On Saving, Quick Saving And Chapter Select

Super tiny pointer, but FF7R tries to give you a unified "main save" - it can just be slightly upended thanks to the Chapter Select.

Regardless, here are some small pointers on how to handle your save files in the game:

1. You can hit triangle from the immediate pause menu to save without buttoning through to the option at the bottom.

2. Side quests don't bank until that chapter is complete, so even if you dive into a chapter to mop things up, you'll have to go through until the next title card, before you can chapter select again without losing progress.

3. The game DOES have an autosave slot, it just doesn't appear on the list of saves from the pause menu. If you turn it off in a pinch though, you'll still be back to the last major cutscene or area checkpoint.
