The first thing to note - which I mentioned in the other video - is that final boss Harbinger is labelled as an "accretion of whispers", if you use the Assess materia to get a description.

Use the Assess materia on Harbinger's underlings though, Rubrum, Veridi and Croceo, and you'll find they too are "entities from a future timeline that have manifested in the present day". However, the next line for each mentions they "fight with a sword to protect the future that gave shape to it", "fight bare handed" or "fight with guns", respectively.

Look to Advent Children, and what do our three villains - the "Remnants of Sephiroth" - fight with? Kadaj wields a sword, Loz fights almost bare-handed with mounted gauntlets, and Yazoo uses twin pistols.

Right here, 2017 Nomura's comments are further blown out the water. We have a DIRECT connection to the future of all Final Fantasy VII ephemera.

Not just the main game, but the compilation too.
