In addition to all the juicy screenshots, the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo was also datamined to high heaven for any and all snippets of text strings that might just hint at the content everyone is happy to pay for in three month's time.

One of the more interesting things to emerge from the jumble is a list of weapons and abilities present in the first Episode. Arms for the four characters playable in the section - Cloud, Barrett, Tifa and Aerith - are all present and correct, as is all the Materia previously found in Midgar. Quite a lot of it has been renamed to reflect modern Final Fantasy conventions: 'Sense' is now 'Libra', whilst offensive spells 'Ice' and 'Bolt' have became 'Blizzard' and 'Thunder' respectively.

Notably, there are no summons listed: originally, the game's first summon materia, Chobo-Mog, could be obtained outside the Chocobo Farm, a few kilometres east of Midgar. Given it's such a crucial aspect of the series' chronology, we hazard a guess that the franchises' most recognisable 'espaeondolons' will crop up in the Episode anyhow.
