FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 North American Release Window Announced

A North American release window has been announced for Final Fantasy XIII-2, with the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII coming in January 2012, though as yet there has been no mention of, if and when the game will be released for other countries. Final Fantasy XIII was released last year to mixed reviews resulting in one of the more controversial titles for Square Enix with people either loving it or hating it. Personally I love some Final Fantasy games - in particular Final Fantasy X - but this one I just couldn't get into. Rather than because of the changed battle system or the linearity that most people mention, I wasn't a fan of the characters I just couldn't get engage with them for some reason. Did any of you enjoy the game or did you hate the new direction Final Fantasy XIII went?
