Final Fantasy XV: 12 Hands-On First Impressions
8. The Open World Feels Huge
To Square Enix's credit, they've done a pretty damn great job with the open world. Yes, it feels like every AAA franchise is going this route now, but this world actually feels alive and lived-in, with a diverse array of locales even though the map actually isn't as gigantic as it at first seems.
The game makes excellent use of space, ensuring that boredom doesn't set in during some of its less-exciting chapters because the gorgeous locales usually more-than-compensate for it.
Given how nervous many fans were for the series to go this route, this is one aspect of the game that Square Enix has pulled off pretty much flawlessly.
