Final Fantasy XV: 12 Hands-On First Impressions

7. It Is Incredibly Casual-Friendly

One of the most surprising things about the game is just how casual-friendly it feels on the whole. Now, before you panic, it is still very much a quintessential Final Fantasy game, but it's clear throughout that the game has been made for both the hardcore crowd and those who've never touched an FF game before (an opening disclaimer even states as such).

This is most apparent in the game's difficulty, which at least so far is barely existent, due to the player getting a "grace period" of sorts when Noctis' HP reaches zero, allowing them to drink a Hi-Potion and get back into the fight immediately.

I've not hit a single Game Over screen yet while playing on Normal difficulty, and given how capable most early players seem to feel so far, there have already been calls for Square Enix to introduce a Hard difficulty to make those epic battles feel a little more rewarding.
