Final Fantasy XV: 6 Ups & 8 Downs
2. Dungeons Are Awesome
FFXV's dungeons comprise many of the game's most rewarding moments, both in the main questline and especially in the side content. The core story features a number of dungeon-like environments that the player must navigate through in order to unlock more Royal Arms, and though hardly challenging, they help break up the more familiar gameplay quite nicely (even if they may themselves feel a bit samey if played too closely together).
The better dungeons emerge in the side missions, though, especially post-game, where the gigantic Pitioss Ruins dungeon can be discovered, a ridiculously lengthy platform-based dungeon that's easily more enjoyable than anything in the main questline.
Hopefully with any future DLC or spin-offs, they'll lean into how well-received by fans the dungeons have been.
