Football Manager 2013 Demo: 10 Improvements That Guarantee Excellence

With the latest installment of the Football Manager series coming out on November 2nd and the demo landing today, I thought it would be a good idea to get my hands on the Beta version of the game to see exactly why fans should be playing. I've been a loyal fan of the genre since Championship Manager mesmerised me back in the 90's, offering children and adults alike the chance to take their team to glory. Much has chance since then, both in football terms and also within the football management genre too: text has been replaced now with updated 3D match engines and those with the inclination can delve as deep as you'd like in the layered detail now on offer. This article will be exploring the positive improvements SI Games have made to FM 2013 since its predecessor - the Demo will arrive tomorrow, but some fans have already had access to the Beta, and despite a few bugs, at this stage it's justifying the hype. Some of the changes are quite subtle, whilst others are aiming at overhauling part of the genre and allowing it to be more accessible to €˜outsiders€™ - no matter what the scale or scope, the effect is huge. One point that I€™ll address now is the lack of Network functionality in the Beta version of the game: FM 2012 suffered from connectivity issues with Steam and many people, myself included, had problems having long-term network games with friends. Miles Jacobson (Sports Interactive Director) has stated that a lot of work has gone into improving this side of the game, so we can only assume/hope when the game goes live, that there won€™t be similar problems to before. So, without further ado, let's look at the improvements that will guarantee that Football Manager 2013 will be a big winner this year with fans and critics...
