Football Manager 2013 Demo: 10 Improvements That Guarantee Excellence

1. Classic Mode

By far the biggest and most talked about feature of FM 2013 is Classic Mode. In essence this is a lighter more accessible version of the full game, which has clearly been designed to pull back those who have drifted away from the series. It's common knowledge that Football Manager games are time consuming: you walk into the relationship knowing that you€™re about to take on a high maintenance girlfriend. Well, no longer: for those with work or family commitments, which limited time available to play games, Classic Mode will allow you to enjoy all the important parts of FM 2013, but in bite-sized chunks. The new mode simplifies many elements of the game, including how the player manages their club and gives away a lot of the micromanagement to backroom staff. To demonstrate the lack of time constraints of this mode, I started a new game as Leicester (a local team to me) and having played for 5 hours I am now in February and challenging for promotion (much like they are doing currently in real life). In the full version of the game I may have completed two pre season friendlies by now, as I do like to scour the markets for hidden gems and delve into the darkness depths FM can offer. I would like to add that Classic mode does feel like a different game, rather then a poor relation. I had great fun playing through the season I started and I€™m sure it will encourage old and new gamers alike to pick up a copy of the game.
