2. Challenge Mode
Another option available to people now in the main menu is the new Challenge Mode, where players are given a variety of scenarios which aim at testing their mettle, mental resolve and ultimately their management skills. Again, these are offered in bite-sized chunks, which normally last half a season and the mixture on offer is quite impressive. In Beta there are four choices on offer, starting with The Saviour Cometh, a relegation scrap where halfway through a season your team is languishing in the danger zone. You can even choose the team you would like to face this challenge with, so being an Arsenal fan I choose Tottenham who had an impressive 10 points from the first 20 games. The other choices available in the Beta are Injury Crisis (your team being swamped with injury problems, but board expectations still needing to be met), The Invincibles (having gone most of the season unbeaten, can you cement your place in place by staying unbeaten) and You Cant Win Anything With Kids (with a swipe at Mr Hansen, you have a group of exceptional youngsters and are charged to bringing home some silverware). All these choices offer great variety and re-playability as you can try the challenge with as many teams as youd like. Also within this mode will be various unlockable features, such as to remove the need for work permits or add a large sum of money to your transfer budget. Some of these can be unlocked in game, whilst offers will be bought separately.
