Football Manager 2014: 13 Ludicrous Ratings SI Need To Fix

1. Fernando Torres

Torres It seems there's some kind of conspiracy taking over all football games: since Torres' high-profile, giant-money move to Chelsea from Liverpool a few years back, he has largely been hopeless, and a burden for his team, thanks to the massive price tag that means he can't be classed as anything but a key player, and also that noone will ever buy him back off Chelsea, in fear of being ripped off. And yet, football games like FIFA and FM13 still value the Spaniard as a good striker. In FM13, Torres was not quite the great player he had been in past years, and his form is certainly a more realistic reflection of real life, but there is no way the Spanish flop is worth a base value of £12.5m, or in fact 12.5 million anything. What Are The Chances? Surely, it must happen this year? Last year, the Spaniard's stats did take something of a tumble, as well as his form, but Torres needs to be cast off as the flop he currently is. He might be given an undue amount of faith from his managers, and protection from his team's owner, but he deserves to be given poor ratings from the off, with the specific challenge of motivating and reinvigorating him, because that is clearly what he requires to get back to being the player he once was.
