3. Changes To Players' Attributes, Clubs, And Morale
As expected with the rise and fall of players' form over the last campaign, the FM team have made a number of adjustments to the attributes of players who have had a good 12 months or a bad one. The most notable improvements have been Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic, Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler, Everton's Ross Barkley, and Juventus box-to-box midfielder Paul Pogba. FM14 also has highlighted a number of players who have recently announced they will be leaving their clubs when their contract expires, so Barcelona 'keeper Victor Valdes becomes available on a free in the summer, while Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has 'would prefer to play for FC Bayern' cited in his short-term plans.
There are also changes to the actual attributes this year too. The stat formerly called 'influence' has now been changed to 'leadership', while 'jumping' is now 'jumping reach'.
