Football Manager 2015: 10 Essential Fan Demands It Must Include

10. The German National Team

Adam Davy/EMPICS SportAdam Davy/EMPICS SportLet's start with a big one €“ the German national team, and their continually baffling absence from the shores of FM. Since times immemorial, the Nationalmannschaft seem to only exist as a bunch of anonymous, grey-texted dopplegangers. We don't get to see Mesut Ozil, Thomas Mueller or Mario Gotze stick on the famous white shirt and go Teutonic on the situation, and that's a shame. The reason they don't exist on the game is simple €“ Sports Interactive, and by extension SEGA, can't thrash out a proper agreement with the national federation. So until then, we've got to make do with these made-up names. While it's not a gigantic, game-gutting absence, for an FM completist (that is to say everyone who plays FM) the absence of the European powerhouse can be a bit galling. After all, if you want to indulge in a little England-Germany rivalry, witnessing Daniel Sturridge jink past some nobody called Thorsten Fritz is something of a missed opportunity. And that's to say nothing of your German club players, who keep being questioned on why they're not being called up to a team that physically can't call them up. Baffling.
