Football Manager 2015: 20 Ultimate Wishlist Features It Must Include

9. Readily Flexible Club Reputation

The frustration of boosting a club's stature is one you have to battle against along any arduous career that aims to take a minnow to the pinnacle of the game. After clambering into the upper echelons of the footballing pyramid, it takes an incredibly long time to affirm yourself as a top club, leading to your star players often keen to move onto a bigger challenge - and opposition managers to regularly question your club's size. For newly promoted clubs, there should obviously be some kind of detrimental effect compared to other established top-flight teams, but to struggle through many seasons without real progress can be an issue. For the new release, gaining reputation and stature should be less rigid, with cup success, stadium upgrades and the amount of seasons in a top division having a real effect on how you are regarded in the game by your virtual peers. Otherwise, transfer policy is restricted somewhat for smaller clubs, with attempted progress leading to frustrating stagnation.
