Football Manager 2015 Tips: 10 Ways To Guarantee World Domination

6. Don't Change Everything Once A Week

The inevitable temptation when something goes wrong is to rip everything up and start again with something drastically different. You will inevitably form ideas about scapegoats and the reason your expansive 3-4-3 isn't working, but you need to give your tactical systems time to breathe, and changing everything once a week will just make your players feel unsettled. Use your pre-season games to tinker with formations, and then stick with one when the season kicks off. Don't ignore player roles or team instructions, but they can be tinkered with as long as the main shape of the team stays the same. That is the right way to change things - and equally don't be afraid to drop players who are out of form (as long as the numbers back it up). You should have two main tactical set-ups though, depending on who you're playing, but ripping up the book every time you lose is a smart way to mess with your team too much.
