Football Manager 2020 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs
1. It's Not Easily Accessible For Newcomers
We understand Sports Interactive have created Football Manager Touch to be the gateway drug into the full version of the game. However, while it does a great job of being a lite version, it's still difficult for newbie players to really get to grips with what they're actually doing.
Although it can feel like the biggest game in the world to the fans who pick it up every single year, even the Touch version of the game has a steep learning curve and that can be daunting to people who hear all the hype and want to try it.
Football Manager really is the marmite of PC gaming. If you love it, then you're a player for life. However, if it's not your cup of tea, or even more importantly, you don't get it, playing the game could be seen as an extremely tedious experience
Whether or not Sports Interactive will ever be able to find a solution to making the game more accessible to a mainstream audience remains to be seen. If they're unable too, then the game will continue to be made for those who purchase it each year without question.
