Football Manager 2022: 10 European Wonderkids You Must Sign

4. Wisdom Amey

Club: Bologna

Nationality: Italian

Price: £2 million

Of all of the names featured on this list, Wisdom Amey is the one who needs the most nurturing.

Given the fact that he's only 15 years of age, there are still so many variables as to whether this Bologna player will truly develop into a top, top player or not. If you have bang average coaching staff or don't give Amey enough game time, he'll stagnate and become nothing more than a 'decent' defender. If you have a great coaching setup in place and are able to make sure Amey gets minutes on the pitch - be that youth football, reserve games or eventually a loan spell elsewhere - then this is someone who can become a beast of a player.

Taking a purely stats-based approach, this Italian youngster isn't quite at the level of the rest of the players on this list. The caveat here, though, is that those other players are two, three, four or more years older than him. Wisdom also has some highly impressive numbers for his age, with 15 for bravery, 14s for determination, jumping, aggression, fitness and strength, and very decent 12s and 13s for acceleration, agility, pace, balance and stamina.
