Football Manager 2022: 10 Strikers You Must Sign

1. Alexander Isak

Club: Real San Sebastián

Nationality: Swedish

Price: £42 million

Yes, he's expensive, but man, Alexander Isak should be your go-to first-team striker option if you're able to afford the approximate £42 million that he'll cost at the start of FM22.

Speaking from your writer's experience, Isak is a forward who can bag you a goal a game as soon as your first season in one of Europe's biggest leagues. At 21 years of age upon starting a new FM22 career, this Real San Sebastián (see: Real Sociedad) player has huge scope to improve on his already impressive numbers.

Best employed as an advanced forward, Isak's acceleration (17), pace (16) and off the ball (16) means he'll get himself in good positions behind opposition defences. His flair (16), vision (15), dribbling (15), anticipation (15), agility (15), balance (15) and first touch (15) all add to his ability to create something out of nothing, and that initial 14 for finishing means he'll score far more than he'll miss.

A 6'3" frame and the ability to play off the left or right are other advantages to Isak, and this is the sort of signing who can turn almost single-handedly turn an average team into a title-challenger team, and a title-challenging team into a dominant title-winning side.
