Football Manager 2022: 10 Tips To Get You Started
8. The Data Hub is your Friend
Once you have played enough games in your save, your team of analysts (providing you have them) will compile all of the relevant data from your team in the brand-new Data Hub tab. Much of this data has been available in the game for a few years now, though a big feature of this year's iteration of Football Manager is bundling all of this data together, along with some new data, into an accessible package for all you stats nerds to sink your teeth into.
By now most casual football fans will have heard of xG, the statistic that tracks a players’ and teams’ expected goals across a game, season or even just for specific chances, but Football Manager 2022 includes many more useful stats for players.
For instance, you can find handy tables showing the momentum over the course of a 90-minute match, heat-maps showing the positioning of your squad or even specific players, as well as the incredibly useful pass-map that shows the passes between your players.
For those not interested in this stuff it can be ignored, however it can often give you vital information that sometimes just might be the difference between winning or losing.
