7. The Ottomans

When it comes to adding new factions, it seems most likely that Ubisoft would favour a completely different direction and would likely stray from the standard Western and Eastern factions we already have. And if that’s the case, there is no better fit than the Ottomans.

While the Ottomans are a pretty standard faction, what would hold them above other Middle-Eastern candidates would be the Janissary Corps. A faction of elite fighters, well versed in a multitude of different weaponry and combat skills, the Jannisaries are the perfect fit.

One of the most elite forces of their time, they famously employed firearms as well as steel making them a force to be reckoned with. And while adding guns would be a wild-card and would need to be balanced perfectly to prevent abuse, it would certainly add a fresh new direction for the game. They certainly shouldn't go about adding a whole arsenal of firepower, but the addition of basic guns could make for an interesting faction.

Not to mention the fact that there would be a good reason to add several desert style maps, something the game is desperately lacking!
