Fortnite Battle Royale: 9 Simple Features To Make It Better Than PUBG

2. Random Environmental Dangers

One of the biggest problems with Fortnite at the moment is that the state of the map is always the same. Outside of the sky barrier keeping you on your toes, the only significant things that change from game to game are the locations of loot and the time of day.

Going forward, a more dynamic weather system or extreme environmental dangers would do wonders to shake up each match. In keeping with the cartoon design, electrical storms could make everyone in the map run for shelter, while an incoming tornado could add more random danger inside the safe zones.

Not everything has to be out to kill you, and something as simple as fog that obscures your vision or snow that makes moving around harder could go a long way in making every match feel unique.

The sense of random chaos and unpredictability is sorely lacking in the base version of Fortnite, and the game would be improved massively by ramping these elements up.
