Fortnite Battle Royale: 9 Simple Features To Make It Better Than PUBG

3. Embrace Arcade Tactics

One of the biggest things that separates Fortnite from PUBG is its cartoon aesthetic. Less grim-dark and more inspired by arcade shooters than the PC game, going forward the title has two choices: to either lean into the slower, tactical side of battle royale shooters or go all out and embrace its Loony Tunes-inspired world.

The ability to pull off huge jumps when hopping on tires is already present in the base game, and wackier elements like this could keep the title's personality intact.

A zanier approach could lead to memorable moments in matches that are entirely unique to Fortnite. At the very least, chasing someone down just to have them escape by leaping across a building thanks to conveniently placed tires would shake up the point-and-click shooting that most firefights currently devolve into.

PUBG already exists, and there's no reason why Fortnite can't still offer a tactical battle royale experience while embracing its inherently silly cartoon side.
