Fortnite Battle Royale Tips: 10 Ways To Ensure Victory Every Time

5. Don't Be TOO Afraid Of The Storm

The storm in Battle Royale can be a deadly threat - especially in the late game - if you let it get the drop on you. Inflicting more damage and becoming narrower as each match wears on, it can be tempting to make the radius of the map your primary concern, always thinking about keeping one step ahead of it.

However, the storm, especially early on, is more of a nuisance than something you should be constantly checking. You can easily have a good time looting buildings and towns that are far away from where the eye of the storm is heading, and as long as you give yourself enough of a head start - about 40 seconds should do it, even at long distances. There shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Obviously be careful to not leave it to the last minute, as there are always players on the edges of the safe zone waiting to pick off stragglers trying to outrun the storm, but for the most part don't be afraid to linger outside of the safe area to avoid enemies and grab yourself some good loot.
