Fortnite Chapter 2: 8 Biggest New Changes
3. Quality Of Life
On top of the bigger gameplay additions, there are also a whole host of new quality of life features designed to make playing Fortnite a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
For starters, you can now jump straight into a new match from the moment your current game ends, rather than having to go back to the lobby first, reducing the amount of time you have to sit watching a loading screen.
Improving your arsenal is also a lot more streamlined now thanks to a few changes.
Chests can now come in two varieties - normal chests contain items ranging from Uncommon to Rare, while big ones (which are blue and give out a different sound effect) contain Epic and Legendary ones. Chests now also drop their loot when you destroy them by breaking the objects they're stood on instead of just disappearing.
Finally, the entire roster of weaponry has been significantly streamlined, with almost all of the game's old weapons vaulted, returning to a more basic set of Pump/Tactical Shotguns, SMGs, normal/Burst ARs, Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles, Pistols and Rocket Launchers, as well as standard grenades, leading to a much more streamlined game and a more level playing field.
