15. Rise Of The Tomb Raider
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P24UJxtMBNc Perhaps you dismissed Crystal Dynamics' reboot of Lara back in 2013 as them trying to get in on Uncharted's success - and you'd mostly be right to do so, as both games play almost identically - or maybe you checked it out all the same, and discovered one of the best third-person action-adventures there's been in years. Either way, the devs are making sure that initial blueprint for a tactful and gun-happy Lara is front and centre going forward, Rise now letting you perform aerial kills and a variety of Assassin's Creed-style stealth animations to boot. The most pleasing thing for fans of the initial few Tomb Raiders is a return to actual tomb raiding - something that was barely present in the 2013 release. Although the above clip shows Lara infiltrating a camp of Extremely Evil Dudes, multiple outlets who've had time with the newest build of the game remark that the developer has included a bunch of tombs with puzzles and environmental triggers that you have to get through as part of the main campaign. If they can pair that with more of the same responsive and satisfying gunplay seen before, it'll be the full package - neatly building a more realistic and relatable Lara for an entirely new generation.
